The BriarPatch Family Life Education Centre is a Registered Canadian Charity, located in the rural hamlet of Sherwood Park, Alberta, just a few minutes from the City of Edmonton. We are committed to providing support and education to families and individuals, focusing on fostering healthy relationships and overall well-being. Our gentle approach is rooted in community engagement and cultural sensitivity, creating a nurturing environment for personal growth and healing.
What We Do
Life Navigation
Our Life Navigation Division is designed to support individuals and families as they journey through a variety of experiences. Counselling, group sessions and education workshops provide opportunities to strengthen bonds, improve communication, and gain valuable knowledge and resources. We provide a supportive and interactive platform for participants to enhance their relationships, promoting harmony and understanding.
Our Parenting Navigation offers guidance and resources to help parents navigate the challenges of raising children. We address various parenting styles, child development, and effective communication, empowering parents to create a nurturing and supportive environment for their children.
Community Engagement
Through community engagement initiatives, the BriarPatch Family Life Education Centre actively participates in local programs and events to promote family well-being and mental health awareness. We collaborate with community organizations to provide educational resources, support networks, and advocacy for families in need. Our approach is gentle and engaging, and we invite volunteers to join us as we create safe and thoughtful spaces for all.
