BriarPatch Preschool

Our licensed community preschool has been in operation since 2008. We were the first preschool in the Park to offer mixed aged classes, as well as the Reggio Emilia teaching method and open-ended art. Early Literacy is a strong feature, as well as encouraging children and their families to give back to the community at large. We are, like all licensed Alberta preschools, a Learning Through Play site- with our own blend of exploration, active movement, community connections and family focus.

Our Philosophy

The BriarPatch Community Preschool focuses on a Learning Through Play approach, which incorporates a variety of teaching methods and philosophies we've adopted and have been approved by Alberta Childcare Licensing. These include Reggio Emilia, Flight and Waldorf. We use concepts from each of these to round out the play and early learning in our progam.

Awesome pre-school my oldest daughter Marley went to school here really got her prepared for kindergarten, now my daughter Mia just finished there and she absolutely loves the place. Teachers there are amazing. Can not say enough good things about this place. Thank you Miss Meghan and Miss Chynna, Mia will have memories of you forever. Would recommend this place to everyone simply amazing!!!
